Jackson Pollocks "Mural" actual size
This is the same painting as seen in the post below, "mural" By The great Jackson Pollock! Nothing better than working on canvas that size. You have so much freedom to paint whatever youre feeling. No limits. He would roll the canvas out on a floor in his studio in upstate NewYork and dance around it. At the time, when he created the dripping technique the art world wrote it off as just random splats that a baby could do. When you see enough of his later work you can see that he actually manipulated the paint. Whether it was dripping from a stick or thrown right out of the can, there were no accidents. The layers and depth of his work is undeniable. Its nature, Its organic, Its a Pollock... Nothing else like it. Try dripping paint on canvas and you'll see that its not so easy to create something spectacular. He created a rhythm in his work that you could actually hear just by looking at it. Look at his work. Look at a lot of it and you'll appreciate it what im saying.
